Quilter is pleased to announce it is making significant changes to its Financial Adviser School including rebranding it to the Quilter Academy.
Quilter will evolve the current school from being primarily focused on purely helping prospective advisers attain a qualification, to an academy, which aims to give students further practical help and a role as a financial planner post-qualification.
The new Quilter Academy will provide training to achieve the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning and, following the students’ qualification journey, will offer Adviser Development Training which will provide the foundation for students to transition from education into a being a financial planner. Quilter will offer full-time and part-time courses.
Areas covered in the addition to qualification training will include business development, adviser skills and other soft skill training. There will also be a section for all new joiners to learn the specifics of being an adviser at Quilter, including training on Quilter systems and processes.
Having trained at the academy, new advisers will be provided with a range of support including access to business support managers, field coaches, regional directors and mentors to help them achieve Competent Adviser Status.
The Academy will also provide all Quilter Advisers with access to comprehensive ongoing development as well as leads from Quilter’s affinity relationships to help build their client bank.
Chris Jones, academy director at Quilter says:
“Gaining a financial advice qualification is just the first step in learning the skills needed to be a financial adviser. The Quilter Academy will take someone new to the industry, perhaps from a previous career, someone returning to work, or post-graduates from university, and form them into a well-rounded financial adviser with all the skills needed to hit the ground running.
“On top of this, Quilter will help find roles for those who qualify both within its national businesses and its network. Advisers joining our national business, Quilter Financial Advisers, will benefit from enquiries generated from our affinity relationships with unions and corporates to build their client base when they are just starting out.
“Quality financial planning has never been more important, and we are proud to continue playing a key role in the development of the next generation of financial advisers who can help close the advice gap.”
