Quilter has appointed Tim Freeman as technology adoption director within Quilter Financial Planning.

In the newly created role, Freeman will work closely with advisers and firms across the Quilter advice network, helping them make the most of the technology, tools and support available to them. He will focus on adviser engagement, adoption and business improvement, ensuring new capabilities translate into better adviser and client experiences.

Tim Freeman brings more than two decades of financial services experience spanning adviser relationships, business growth, proposition development and change. He has been at Openwork since 2022, most recently as strategic partnership development manager, where he has managed relationships with some of the network's largest and most significant partner firms.

Before joining Openwork, Tim Freeman spent seven years at St. James's Place, including as head of financial wellbeing & private client proposition and prior to that as head of private client service. Earlier in his career, he spent 13 years at HSBC in a number of financial planning and relationship management roles.

Warren Vickers, managing director of Quilter Financial Planning, said:

"Tim Freeman is a fantastic addition to Quilter, having worked with Tim previously, I’m excited to see him bring his energy and experience to the team and to help our advisers embrace new technology and grow more effectively.

"He understands the opportunities and challenges advice businesses face because he has spent many years working closely alongside them. As we continue to invest in our technology proposition and the support we provide to advisers, his experience will be invaluable in ensuring firms get the greatest possible benefit from the tools and capabilities available to them.

"I'm delighted to welcome Tim to Quilter and know he will be a great asset to our advisers and firms."

Tim Freeman said:

"I'm incredibly excited to be joining Quilter. Having spent much of my career working closely with advisers and advice businesses, I've seen first-hand what makes the biggest difference to firms trying to grow, become more productive and deliver a great service to their clients.

"Quilter has a strong proposition and ambitious plans for its advice business. I'm looking forward to getting out and meeting advisers and firms across the network, listening to what they need and helping make it as easy as possible for them to take advantage of the support, technology and capabilities Quilter can offer."
