Quilter is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexander Kirby as reporting and governance manager. Kirby joins Quilter from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the financial services and markets regulator.

Most recently, Kirby held the role of lead associate in the FCA’s wholesale authorisations department which included analysing and implementing regulatory change regarding ESG disclosure rules, acting as lead subject matter expert on the delivery of Consumer Duty to the department, and assessing the effectiveness of firms’ compliance frameworks and governance arrangements.

Kirby will focus on corporate sustainability reporting and disclosure, supporting Marisol Hernadnez and Gemma Woodward who have joint responsibility for delivering Quilter’s corporate sustainability agenda.

Gemma Woodward, head of responsible investment at Quilter Cheviot, said:

“We are delighted that Alexander has joined Quilter, where he will help to deliver our corporate sustainability agenda.

“Alexander has extensive experience in investment and ESG related compliance, bringing valuable expertise in navigating regulatory environments to the team. We need to make sure that we are making a positive contribution to our customers, colleagues, the businesses we work with and the wider society in which we operate. Alex comes with the experience, passion and commitment to ensure that we can lead in this endeavour.”
