Quilter Cheviot has today announced it has appointed Jack Herbert as Head of Business Development EMEA, based in Dubai, and Laura Gibson as Relationship Director, based in Jersey, to support the international business.
Herbert joins after almost a decade at Rathbones, where he most recently served as International Business Development Director and where he helped manage relationships with financial advisers, wealth managers and private clients across the Channel Islands and other offshore financial centres. Prior to Rathbones, he worked for Standard Chartered Private Bank in its business development team for six years.
Reporting to Tim Childe, Head of Quilter Cheviot International, Herbert will be responsible for developing relationships, providing assistance and promoting Quilter Cheviot’s products and services to current and prospective clients of the business.
Meanwhile, Gibson brings two decades of experience in the financial services sector, having held senior roles at Citi in London and, more recently, as Relationship Director at HSBC in Jersey.
Also reporting to Childe, she will be responsible for developing and deepening relationships with a range of international private clients, trustees and intermediaries and working closely with strategy teams to ensure that Quilter Cheviot’s bespoke investment solutions continue to meet the evolving needs of its clients.
The move follows the recent announcement by Quilter Cheviot that it has expanded Andrew Fahy’s role to become Chief Executive Officer of Europe and International Markets. Fahy has taken on strategic responsibility for Quilter Cheviot’s offices in Jersey and Dubai, as well as continuing to lead the Dublin office. This appointment is driven by the strategic aim to ensure a consistent approach across Quilter Cheviot’s international footprint, meaning clients can expect the same service regardless of the jurisdiction they are in.
Tim Childe, Head of Quilter Cheviot International, said: “We are really pleased to have attracted people of Jack and Laura’s ability to Quilter Cheviot International. This is an exciting phase for the business as it moves onto the next leg of its growth trajectory and expanding our footprint in both Jersey and Dubai, as well as other global financial centres, is crucial to that happening. They both bring a huge amount of direct and personal experience to their roles and we look forward to seeing what they bring to the business.”
Jack Herbert, Head of Business Development EMEA at Quilter Cheviot International, commented: “I’m pleased to have joined Quilter Cheviot International at a time where the financial circumstances and objectives of high-net-worth individuals is evolving at a rapid pace. I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running, both in Dubai and also the Channel Islands too, where I grew up so it is great to be reconnecting professionally.”

Laura Gibson, Relationship Director at Quilter Cheviot International, added: “I am delighted to join Quilter Cheviot at such an exciting time. The firm’s client-centric approach and culture of collaboration are values that I deeply share and I look forward to working with this talented team to continue to drive meaningful results for our clients, and across generations.”
