Quilter Cheviot, the high-net-worth wealth management arm of Quilter, has confirmed the appointment of Andrew Ross as its Chair.

The appointment, effective since the beginning of the year, follows the decision by Ian Buckley to step down from the Board as he came to the end of his final term as Chair. Ross also joined the Quilter plc Board as an Independent Non-executive Director.
Ross brings deep experience in wealth and asset management, having spent his career in the investment industry. He began his career as a private client investment manager at James Capel and progressed to senior leadership roles including Chief Executive Officer at HSBC Asset Management (Europe) Limited and Chief Executive at Cazenove, and Global Head of Wealth Management at Schroders.
After stepping down from his executive career in 2019, Ross has served on investment management company boards including Polar Capital Holdings plc and four years as Chair of Witan Investment Trust plc.
Ruth Markland, Chair of Quilter plc, said: “I am pleased to welcome Andrew Ross to his role as Quilter Cheviot Chair. His deep industry knowledge and board experience in our sector will enable him to provide Quilter Cheviot with valuable insight and strategic perspective. I am confident that under his leadership, Quilter Cheviot will continue to thrive and innovate to meet the evolving needs of clients.
