Quilter, the wealth manager, has welcomed a new cohort of interns as part of its Early Careers programme, which is aimed at supporting the next generation of professionals looking to begin a career within the wealth management industry.
After receiving over 1,200 applications, the programme has enrolled eight interns across several business areas who will embark on a year of hands-on learning, collaboration, and professional development.
Four interns have joined Quilter Cheviot and will rotate between fund research, operations, front office and responsible investment, and will obtain a Level 1 Investment Operations Certificate over the course of the year-long programme. A further four interns will join other business areas within Quilter, including technology, customer services, investment and operations.
The programme offers interns a rich blend of experiences, including workshops, upskilling sessions, ‘lunch and learns’ with different business areas, and a group project designed to bring fresh insights to the organisation. The interns will also benefit from direct engagement with key stakeholders, helping them build valuable connections and learn from experienced colleagues.
Quilter’s renewed Early Careers Programme offers a range of opportunities for school and college leavers, recent graduates, and those looking to change careers and upskill. The programme offers apprenticeships, as well as one- and two-year programmes which provide valuable hands-on industry experience. The programme will open for new applications in January 2026.
Penny Cole, chief people officer at Quilter, says:
“I’m thrilled to welcome our interns to Quilter. Their arrival marks an exciting moment for the business as we welcome new ideas and fresh perspectives into the organisation. Our intern programme reinforces our commitment to nurturing future talent and fostering innovation across the business, and is a deliberate investment in ensuring we build a diverse and dynamic workforce.
“These individuals bring curiosity, ambition, and a readiness to learn - qualities that will help us evolve and adapt in a fast-changing environment. By supporting early careers, we’re unlocking new potential and building the capabilities that will help us deliver on our long-term ambitions.”
