Quilter has today announced that it has successfully retained its status as a signatory to the UK Stewardship Code, as confirmed by the Financial Reporting Council (FRC).
The UK Stewardship Code sets a globally recognised benchmark for best practice in investment stewardship. It promotes the responsible allocation, management, and oversight of capital to create long-term value for clients and beneficiaries, contributing to sustainable benefits for the economy, the environment, and society.
The FRC has confirmed that Quilter continues to meet the expected standard of reporting under the Code. As a result, Quilter will remain listed as a signatory and is authorised to use the UK Stewardship Code logo in accordance with the FRC’s guidelines.
The FRC has also published the UK Stewardship Code 2026, which will apply from 1 January 2026. Quilter will submit its first report under the new framework by 30 April 2026, in line with the requirements for asset managers and service providers.
Commenting on the announcement, Gemma Woodward, head of responsible investment at Quilter Cheviot, said: “We are proud to continue our commitment to the UK Stewardship Code. Stewardship is a cornerstone of our responsible investment approach, and we welcome the FRC’s recognition of our efforts. We look forward to engaging further with the FRC and continuing to evolve our reporting in line with the updated 2026 Code.”
