Quilter’s investment platform1 has been awarded an ‘A’ rating for financial strength, indicating ‘superior’ strength, in the latest assessments by independent ratings specialist AKG.

AKG’s assessment of financial strength measures a company’s ability to sustain delivery of its products or services. The rating takes into account capital and asset position, expense position and profitability, parental strength, operational capability and strategic position.

The analysis was based on a detailed assessment of publicly available information, supplemented by face-to-face discussions with senior management team members and the supply of additional confidential and non-confidential contextual market material.

The rating also reflects factors such as a business’ capital and asset strength, the strength of its management team and its ability to withstand external market forces.

As well as assessing overall financial strength, AKG also assessed Quilter’s service, image and strategy, and business performance.

Jenny Davidson, commercial proposition director at Quilter, says:

“AKG’s financial strength ratings are designed to help financial advisers to assess the relative strength of the providers they work with, and we’re delighted to receive the highest rating for our platform.

“Not only does this offer advisers and their clients’ reassurance they are working with a resilient business, but AKG also factors in the degree to which a policyholder’s expectations are likely to be met – or even exceeded – in the long-term.

“We’re really proud of this result which reflects the continued investment we are making in our platform in order to provide best service to advisers and help them to create exceptional client outcomes.”

1The specific entity assessed/rated by AKG is Quilter Investment Platform Ltd
