Quilter Cheviot has today announced it has hired two specialists in its business development team as it seeks to expand its services.

George Adam joins Quilter Cheviot as Head of Wholesale Distribution and will have responsibility for creating and managing relationships with discretionary fund managers and institutional investors in relation to the Climate Assets Funds range. This follows the recent launch of the Climate Assets Growth Fund, which complements the existing Balanced version.

Adam joins from Pictet Asset Management, where he was responsible for investment fund sales in the North of the UK and Ireland. Prior to that, he has also worked for of Argonaut Capital Partners, Cazenove Capital Management and Aegon Asset Management. Adam will report into Head of Distribution, David Butler.

Meanwhile, Erin Florendine has joined the business as Senior Business Development Manager with a focus on the professional services industry. She will report into Matt Sullivan, Head of Professional Services, and will work closely with solicitors, accountants and consultants to deliver wealth management services to them.

Florendine joins from MacMillan Estate Planning and has a wealth of professional services experience, having previously worked law firm Addleshaw Goddard.

Andrew McGlone, Chief Executive at Quilter Cheviot, said: “We are delighted to be strengthening the business in two teams where we see significant growth potential. Professional services and wealth management have a lot in common so we are keen to deepen our relationships in this space and see where we can help lawyers, accountants and many other professionals – both in their own financial affairs and those of their clients. Erin will play a key role on this given her experience.

“Climate Assets, meanwhile, continues to go from strength to strength, and we want to build on the momentum following the launch of the Growth fund last year. Sustainable investing continues to gain in popularity, and we are seeing real demand from advisers and clients for these solutions. It is great to have George on board to help highlight where we believe we have a leading investment offering with a strong track record.”
